Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking candidates for roles in our recycling centers, fabrication plants, and steel mills. You will be involved with loading, operating fabrication equipment, and mentoring teammates while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The position requires experience in heavy industry, ability to read technical manuals, and strong teamwork with a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in heavy industrial environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and work outside in all weather.
• Must be able to read technical documents and service manuals.
• Must be able to write job instructional training documents.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Mentor and train team members on proper equipment use.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
• Serve as the leadman in his/her absence, as necessary.
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc.
