Job summary

Amcor LLC in Sparks, NV is seeking a production operator to ensure efficient manufacturing of quality products. You will perform changeovers, assist with setups, collect data, and adhere to Amcor safety and environmental guidelines on every shift.

The role includes off-line and on-line blending, scrap weighing, and maintaining accurate records in the MRP system. You will contribute to meeting production targets and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform changeovers and complete changeover setup form
• Arrange assistance for changeover
• Responsible for cleaning of blenders and other equipment
• Pre-blend and oversee blending or mixing of resins on/off-line
• Complete paperwork for production sheet, labor log, scrap sheet and daily functional check sheet
• Weight and record scrap in shift paperwork or in MRP system
• Set secondary equipment and test functionality
• Watch for and react to stack light alerts
• Support safety, food safety and environmental guidelines
• Make machine adjustments to maintain product quality
• Identify equipment shortfalls and submit maintenance requests
• Close orders in system when complete
• Collect, weigh and document all scrap, enter in system
• Ensure repro is run into product at predetermined BOM adjustments
• Check run rates and perform quality checks
• Maintain tools and auxiliary equipment
• Keep ink room in proper order
• Document maintenance and safety concerns
• Perform all duties of a Utility
