Job summary

Sensient Technologies in Wisconsin is seeking a 2nd shift packager/production operator to join our team to make high quality food ingredients. You will package yeast powder used in various foods and run packaging equipment, with a shift premium and opportunities for overtime.

You will follow food safety standards, monitor equipment, take product samples for quality checks, and complete necessary production paperwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work 8- or 12-hour shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to read, write, and learn about equipment/food manufacturing.
• Lift up to 55 lbs regularly, 100 lbs max, stand long periods, assemble equipment and work safely in hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Package yeast powder for food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics.
• Stack powder bags on pallets and operate a shrink-wrapping machine.
• Take samples to ensure quality standards.
• Operate and monitor equipment (forklifts and bagging equipment).
• Perform cleaning for assigned area per policy.
• Fill out run-rate, product types, and production summaries paperwork.

What you’ll do:

• Package yeast powder which goes into food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics
• Stack powder bags on pallets and operate a shrink wrapping machine
• Take samples of product to ensure quality standards are met
• Operate and monitor equipment (forklifts and bagging equipment)
• Perform cleaning for your assigned area that complies with company and government policy
• Fill out required paperwork related to run rates, product types, and production summaries
• Follow food and safety standards/good manufacturing practices

What you’ll bring:

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work both 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, as well as weekends
• Ability to read, write, and a desire to learn about equipment/food manufacturing
• Ability to lift up to 55lbs regularly, position 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time, assemble equipment, and work safely in hot environment
