Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a 2nd shift packager/production operator to join our manufacturing team. You will package yeast powder used in food products, stack bags on pallets, and operate shrink wrapping equipment while maintaining quality standards.

The role requires reading and writing, willingness to learn about equipment and food manufacturing, and the ability to work 8- or 12-hour shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and a desire to learn about equipment/food manufacturing.
• Willingness to work 8-, 12-hour shifts, including weekends.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Package yeast powder which goes into food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics
• Stack powder bags on pallets and operate a shrink wrapping machine
• Take samples of product to ensure quality standards are met
• Operate and monitor equipment (forklifts and bagging equipment)
• Perform cleaning for your assigned area that complies with company and government policy
• Fill out required paperwork related to run rates, product types, and production summaries
• Follow food and safety standards/good manufacturing practices
