Job summary

Corbion is seeking a Production Operator to work on the Totowa, NJ plant floor, handling batch production and warehouse tasks. The role includes operating blender and kettle machinery, staging ingredients, and PKG/palletizing, with a focus on quality and safety.

Second and third shift positions are available, with potential forklift training. The job emphasizes teamwork, adherence to GMP and lean practices, and occasional overtime to support production goals.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in batch making, mixer, or blender roles.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work second or third shift with occasional weekend shifts.
• Understanding of union policies and procedures.
• Exposure to loud machinery and heat in a large open manufacturing environment; PPE required (hair/beard nets, gloves).
• Possible exposure to common food allergens during handling, mixing and storage.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Ensure product quality and maintain standards and processes.
• Operate blender and kettle machines, maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Weigh raw materials using scoops per formula.
• Stage ingredients for work centers for blends for customers.
• Perform boxing and bagging for palletizing.
• May be trained to operate a forklift.
• Attend team meetings and communicate policy changes.
• Adhere to Lean Process Control Board procedures.
• Complete production reports to identify problems and maximize productivity.
