Job summary

Corbion is seeking a Facilities Technician in Totowa, NJ for a 2nd shift (2PM–10:30PM) to oversee operation, inspection, cleaning, and upkeep of plant facilities and equipment. The role includes sanitation, basic repairs, and operating various industrial machines with training provided.

You will document work in CMMS, follow GMP and safety protocols, and collaborate with teams. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 3 years in maintenance or facilities, preferably in food or

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance or facilities experience; food or beverage manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools.
• Comfortable using CMMS systems to track work orders and inventory.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety protocols.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMPs, Safety, and Environmental regulations and company policies.
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing of equipment per Plant Operating Standards.
• Conduct system washouts and reassembly of production equipment.
• Operate facility equipment such as washing machines, trash and cardboard compactors, powered industrial trucks, scissor lifts, and floor scrubbers (training provided).
• Perform janitorial duties throughout the facility, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.
• Use hand and power tools to perform basic facility repairs.
• Document activities, repairs, and parts usage in CMMS systems.
• Follow safety protocols, PPE usage, and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Assist in training new personnel and support other departments as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members via written, oral, or plant communication systems.
