Job summary

Volt at Coherent (formerly II-VI) in Sherman, TX is hiring a Production Operator to perform operations on VCSEL wafers and test assemblies. You will work as part of a team to transfer wafers into large-volume manufacturing, while meeting production standards and maintaining safety throughout the process.

The role requires experience in a production or clean-room environment, good attention to detail, strong teamwork, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

As a Production Operator you will:
  • Perform various production operations associated with the processing of VCSEL wafers and product test assemblies
  • Be an active member of the team and meet the requirements to ensure the effective and efficient transfer of wafers into large volume manufacturing
  • Meet/Exceed production standards; hitting goals and working safely at every point in the manufacturing process
Production Operator candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing clean room environment
  • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow process specifications and safety rules
  • Have strong attention to detail and understand the importance of product quality
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with good manual dexterity
  • Basic computer operation skills
  • Candidates selected must meet all pre-screening eligibility requirements

Pay for this position is $17.50 per hour.

Training Schedule:
  • Training Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8-5 then will move to shift.
  • A shift - Sunday Monday Tuesday every other Wednesday 7a-7p
  • B shift - Sunday Monday Tuesday every other Saturday 7p-7a
  • C shift - every other Wednesday, Thursday Friday Saturday 7a-7p
  • D Shift - Wednesday Thursday Friday every other Saturday 7p-7a

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
