Job summary

Lennox Corporation in Kentucky is seeking a diligent assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will follow detailed instructions, read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and help build sub-assemblies and finished units with a focus on quality and safety.

You will stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and collaborate with colleagues across departments to keep production flowing and maintain Lennox’s standards of excellence.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprints, tape measures, diagrams, or assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical units or sub-assemblies according to instructions.
  • Follow blueprints or diagrams and use tools to assemble components.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and report defects.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and coordinate with supervisors.

What Drives Success

Under direct supervision assembles mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete units within routine and repetitive assembly operations.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to assemble components or products.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to perform assembly tasks.
  • Inspect and verify the quality of assembled products to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with components or finished products.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
  • May perform other limited assembly, fabrication, production, or operator tasks of a standard nature.
What We Are Looking For
Education/Experience:
  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams, or assembly instructions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Abilities:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to learn how to operate basic machinery
  • Able to paint and work with insulation.
What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is $17/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 10 days paid time off, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
