Job summary

Lennox International in Orangeburg, SC, is hiring for an hourly, non-exempt assembler role under direct supervision. You will assemble mechanical units per blueprints, use hand and power tools, inspect quality, and report defects while following safety guidelines.

Education: high school diploma or equivalent; ability to read diagrams; standing, lifting up to 50 pounds; training to operate basic machinery. Starting pay is $17 per hour with overtime eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

What Drives Success

Under direct supervision assembles mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete units within routine and repetitive assembly operations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to assemble components or products.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to perform assembly tasks.
• Inspect and verify the quality of assembled products to ensure they meet specified standards.
• Identify and report any defects or issues with components or finished products.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
• May perform other limited assembly, fabrication, production, or operator tasks of a standard nature.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Able to learn how to operate basic machinery
• Able to paint and work with insulation.

What We Offer

Compensation:This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is $17/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
