Job summary

ABB is seeking a production lead in Mebane, NC, to direct a line in Electrification Services and ensure efficient, on-time manufacturing. You will oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and continuous improvement while partnering with HR for staff development.

The role requires a strong background in electrical manufacturing, SAP knowledge, and the flexibility to travel about 10%. This onsite position reports to the Americas Region Operational Excellence Project Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Electrical Engineering preferred) with 5+ years of experience, or associates with 7+ years and HS with 10+ years.
• Experience in production/manufacturing leadership and a background in breakers, switchgears, electrification manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP, and ability to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead a production team in a unit or line to transform parts and materials into ABB products on time and cost-effectively.
• Manage resource allocation, scheduling, and plan adherence to demand and inventory targets.
• Identify equipment/facility improvements and drive production execution and on-time delivery.
• Lead operations improvement efforts and resolve critical line issues with internal teams.
• Develop and guide the team, in collaboration with HR, to ensure proper staffing and development.
