Job summary

RNInk is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily production and maintenance activities, coordinate resources, and mentor a team on safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes hands-on coaching on the shop floor and active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.

You will spend time on the production floor, conduct start-up meetings, and work with managers to resolve operational challenges while ensuring adherence to schedules and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of leadership in foundry preferred.
• Prior experience as lead person, supervisor, or similar leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily production and maintenance activities to meet goals.
• Communicate priorities and align resources with team members and foremen.
• Create team assignments and set expectations for efficient workflow.
• Monitor schedules, resources, and workforce capacity; adjust as needed.
• Maintain appropriate levels of supplies to support operations.
• Track department performance and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct daily start-up meetings and ongoing communication.
• Spend time on the production floor to support employees and answer questions.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained across processes.
• Train and support new employees on safety, equipment, and duties.
• Collaborate to identify improvements and resolve challenges.
• Conduct performance reviews and ongoing conversations with staff.
• Coach employees through one-on-one discussions and development opportunities.
• Identify training opportunities to boost performance and engagement.
• Promote workplace safety through training and process improvement.
• Monitor attendance and maintain records; approve leave requests.
• Complete required data entry in company systems.
• Coordinate EHS responsibilities including inspections and training.
• Participate in meetings on safety initiatives and strategy.
• Assist with candidate interviews and onboarding activities.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
