Job summary

Outsight is transforming Spatial Intelligence with 3D LiDAR data for airports, stadiums, and smart cities. We seek a Production Operations Engineer to maintain live customer deployments, triage incidents, and uphold service reliability.

You will lead scheduled changes, document runbooks, and drive RCA initiatives, collaborating with L2 Customer Engineering. Strong English is required; night/weekend on-call is expected. Hybrid/onsite options in the SF area are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supporting live production software environments.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems, log parsing, and remote diagnostics.
• Hybrid infrastructure experience with DNS, VPNs, firewalls, VLANs and cloud services.
• Strong incident communication and ability to provide timelines during critical incidents.
• Professional fluency in English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to participate in scheduled night/weekend on-call rotation.
• Hands-on with Bash, Python, SQL, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, or Prometheus.

Responsibilities

• Validate new customer deployments meet documentation, alert thresholds, and tracking metrics before accepting ownership.
• Triage incoming tickets, reproduce defects, and escalate unresolved issues to L2 with log data.
• Perform scheduled configuration changes, system health audits, and remote software updates on live environments.
• Write and maintain internal runbooks and troubleshooting guides.
• Reconstruct incident timelines and submit bug reports to Product and Engineering.
