Job summary

FIS is seeking a detail-oriented Consumer Relations Processor to join our on-site team in Minnesota. You will review, sort, scan, and process consumer communications, ensuring accuracy and timely handling within established policies.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in consumer relations, customer service, document processing, or related operations preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures, meet deadlines and manage high-volume work accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, sort, scan, import, and process Consumer Relations mail and documentation following procedures.
  • Prioritize critical Consumer Relations work types including regulatory, legal, and disposition-related items.
  • Research consumer inquiries and disputes to identify root causes and resolution paths.
  • Document consumer information and case details accurately in systems and tracking tools.
  • Ensure requests are handled within required timelines and compliant with policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate resources and maintain confidentiality.

What you will be doing:
  • Receive, review, sort, scan, import, and process Consumer Relations mail, documentation, and correspondence according to established procedures.
  • Prioritize critical Consumer Relations work types, including regulatory, legal, supervisor review, security freeze, financial institution response, identity theft, and Social Security number-related items.
  • Research consumer inquiries, disputes, and issues to identify the root cause and determine the appropriate resolution path.
  • Document consumer information, processing activity, and case details accurately in the appropriate systems, spreadsheets, or tracking tools.
  • Ensure consumer requests and disputes are handled within required timelines and in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.
  • Communicate processing updates, concerns, and issue trends to leadership or designated contacts as required.
  • Escalate complex, sensitive, or unresolved issues to the appropriate resource, supervisor, or support team for guidance and resolution.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard consumer, client, and company information always.
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, quality, and service-level expectations.
  • Support team coverage, cross-training, and other Consumer Relations processing activities as business needs require.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Support the Remittance Processing Team when time and workload permit.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-430pm cst. On-site

What you bring:
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in consumer relations, customer service, document processing, financial services, dispute processing, remittance processing, or a related operations environment preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures, meet deadlines, and manage high-volume work accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to research issues, identify discrepancies, and apply appropriate resolution steps.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members and leadership.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, internal systems, scanners, tracking tools, and shared spreadsheets.
