Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily plant operations at our Niles, OH site. You’ll coordinate labor, drive safety, quality, and efficiency while partnering with Quality, Maintenance, and Inventory teams to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in supervision within manufacturing, an associate degree in management, and hands-on experience with MES/SAP. On-site role with strong leadership and continuous improvement focus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Associate degree with an emphasis on management or supervision (or equivalent experience).
• Working knowledge of shop floor systems such as MES and SAP or comparable platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Effective problem-solving, time-management, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to foster productive working relationships and drive team performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe work practices per regs and policy.
• Perform quality checks on equipment and production areas.
• Develop daily and long-term production schedules.
• Delegate tasks and ensure accountability.
• Provide training and cross-training; evaluate performance.
• Monitor cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Generate and review daily operations reports.
• Identify and escalate maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with Quality to uphold site standards.
• Develop action plans to improve plant performance.
• Document injuries and follow up corrective actions.
• Hire and develop team members.
• Perform other duties as needed.
• Maintain reliable on-site attendance.
