Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor in Ohio to coordinate labor, coach teams, and uphold safety and quality across plant operations. You will work closely with Quality, Maintenance and Warehouse to drive improvements and meet production goals.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing and demonstrate strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Management, Supervision, Business or related field.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting.
• Experience with MES, SAP or similar systems.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote safe work practices in line with regulations and policies.
• Perform quality checks on equipment and processes to ensure standards are met.
• Develop and manage employee work schedules to hit production goals.
• Delegate tasks and guide team for efficient workflow.
• Train, cross-train, coach, and evaluate staff with feedback.
• Initiate and support disciplinary actions as needed per policy.
• Monitor cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory.
• Generate and review daily reports to ensure shift continuity.
• Identify, communicate, and escalate maintenance concerns to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Quality to maintain and improve standards.
• Develop and implement action plans to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Document injuries, investigate incidents, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding activities; support performance management.
• Review and recommend personnel actions for approval.
• Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.
