BASIC FUNCTIONS|

As an integral member of the Operations Team, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee our food manufacturing processes. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations on the production floor while ensuring that production meets health, sanitation, and quality standards set by the company and regulatory authorities. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate a team, and a keen understanding of production metrics to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |

  • Manage day-to-day production activities, including scheduling, staffing, and ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements through regular inspections and adherence to SOPs.
  • Coordinate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste. Ensure all waste is tracked and monitored for improvement.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Build, supervise, and motivate a team of production workers. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Ensure accuracy of daily production numbers for the production report before final submission to upper management.
  • Engage in high-level planning and organizing for each week’s production; including raw ingredients and packaging materials.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement. Implement strategies to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports on production metrics, including output, downtime, and quality metrics. Present findings to senior management.
  • Demonstrate, promote, and exemplify the Company’s Core Values in People, Quality, and Growth. Promote a positive work environment for all employees.
  • Train employees and enforce GMPs and SOPs.
  • Learn all operations of machinery and tools in the facility.
  • Collaborate with all departments within the facility to achieve overall company goals.

SUCCESSFUL FACTORS|

  • Leadership experience in a food processing operation with USDA footprint or high-volume restaurant kitchen.
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial setting with the founder and members of the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of effectively leading while managing multiple demands. Able to foster a positive environment and possess solid interpersonal skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a food processing or restaurant kitchen environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
