A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee production schedules, ensure quality standards, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree and experience in manufacturing processes, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Description
General Description
Meets customer expectations for product delivery and quality by executing the production schedule, optimizing use of all available resources. Ensures safe, clean, respectful, and rewarding environment for all Production staff. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality standards.
• Works with Scheduling/Customer Service to assure optimal manufacturing prioritization, balancing capacity, quality and demands to generate the best production and output schedule.
• Ensures all documentation is complete, available and in position for staff to access including accurate and consistent production, scrap, and labor reporting
• Develop a comprehensive 5-S and Lean Manufacturing program that will include all shifts’ participation to the degree reasonable including Setup Reduction and Standardization
• Works with Department Managers to ensure compliance with ISO guidelines and processes and drives continuous improvements including reduction of scrap and Cost of Quality
• Coordinates with Human Resources to enhance and improve employee relations and build a culture of appreciation for exceptional performance
• Assist shift supervisors with staff mentoring, coaching, reviewing, recognizing, rewarding
• Development, execution and record-keeping of comprehensive training matrix opportunities and requirements for all staff
• Seek out and highlight career growth opportunities that can be offered to those that show initiative and capability
• In absence of Shift Supervisor, leads and directs full shift’s production activity following sound manufacturing practices and customer focus
• Facilitates effective & smooth transition between shifts at Supervisor, Technician, and Operator levels
• Confirms all work cells, set ups, processing, quality submissions are being executed correctly
• Works with Business Development team to coordinate new program and product launches.
• Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
• Uses specialized knowledge of Injection Molding to supervise, plan, organize and assign work to employees who set up and operate equipment to produce a variety of parts
• Monitors work output of the production team and investigates quality, productivity, machine and material issues and takes corrective action
• Prepares various production, employee incidents and coaching reports. Performs periodic evaluation of subordinates
Works to continuously improve skills and capabilities in management and process improvement techniques
• All other duties assigned.
Qualification Requirements

Education: Education and/ or experience
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret Quality, Safety, Maintenance and Operating procedures and mechanical drawings, etc. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and Statistical Process Control.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to accurately define and prioritize problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Other Skills and Abilities: Must be a currently licensed lift truck operator.
