Job summary

BlueScope is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate production equipment per procedures, reading blueprints and adjusting settings to meet specifications and schedules. You will use measuring tools and ERP systems to ensure quality and on-time delivery while supporting safety and efficiency goals.

The role requires basic mathematical ability, blueprint reading, and familiarity with lifting equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines to cut, punch, bend, weld or shape material to components.
• Set up machines and confirm specifications from drawings.
• Use lifting devices to move materials/parts as needed.
• Perform First Piece Inspection and routine quality checks.
• Participate in continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory and perform basic machine maintenance.
