Job summary

The North Texas Food Bank is seeking a Production Manager to orchestrate the kitting production, forecast demand, and align volunteer resources with production goals. You will lead a team and coordinate materials, equipment, and labor to ensure timely, high-quality output.

You will oversee inventory control, safety compliance, and process improvements while fostering a positive, engaging work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience with CRM and ERP systems and database management.
• Strong budget planning and inventory forecasting abilities.
• Forklift and motorized pallet jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage builds and projected forecast to align volunteer resources to meet production goals; develop the production plans for finalization.
• Oversee the planning and organization of the kitting production process to ensure availability of inventory, equipment, and labor resources required for each project.
• Report production builds and output on a weekly basis.
• Confirm availability of raw materials and facilitate physical movement of kitted product throughout the production process.
• Optimize volunteer resources to ensure high-quality and cost-effective kitted product.
• Responsible for estimating and monitoring expected output for each volunteer effort and adjusting production plans to balance availability of volunteers, product and program needs.
• Provide quality control of inventory management.
• Enforce the NTFB Operational Master Cleaning Plan and ensure that staff follows all applicable safety policies and procedures.
• Design and develop work plans, process improvements and policies.
• Promote a positive work environment where staff feels engaged, valued, and motivated.
• Equitable and timely leadership of performance management and team objectives.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned
