Job summary

Tri-State Food Bank seeks a Volunteer Leader to coordinate, train, and supervise volunteers, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with TSFB standards and goals. This role collaborates with warehouse and program staff to prepare projects, maintain inventory, and support daily operations.

The position serves as a welcoming TSFB representative, promoting the mission and ensuring volunteers have resources and direction to succeed. Evening/weekend events may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and supervising volunteers.
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift certification within 60 days; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise volunteers; work alongside them.
• Promote Tri-State Food Bank in the community.
• Give presentations, facilitate activities, and provide tours.
• Inspect volunteer work for quality and adherence to guidelines.
• Manage programs to ensure inventory aligns with schedules.
• Support daily operations and warehouse readiness.
• Greet volunteers, assign duties, and oversee shift start times.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisor and program staff.
