Job summary

The Line Lead at Jabil, Inc. oversees a production line, coordinating activities to meet targets while upholding safety and high quality.

You will lead a team of operators, troubleshoot issues, maintain records, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality to optimize processes and drive continuous improvement.

This position requires reading schedules and blueprints, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working a Sunday–Tuesday schedule with every other Wednesday shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Proficiency in using basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and overtime, as required.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with procedures, quality specifications, and production schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and material flow problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of products to ensure they meet standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap rates, and downtime.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to optimize production processes and address systemic issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
• Train new operators on line procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Communicate production status, concerns, and achievements to management.
