Job summary

Monogram Foods is seeking a production line worker to inspect, grade, and package products for consistent flow on the line. The role involves visually estimating weight, identifying substandard items, and placing rejects for rework or disposal while maintaining safety and cleanliness on the production floor.

The position requires adherence to food safety rules, use of PPE, and ability to work extended hours including weekends as needed to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, round, compute averages and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.

Responsibilities

• Estimate weight of product visually.
• Verify count, look at, handle product, to determine grade and identify substandard products.
• Place rejected products and grades in designated piles or areas; adjust to bring product into specifications.
• Report major breakdowns or problems to the line operator.
• Notify Supervisor of mechanical or material issues.
• Assemble product according to customer specification.
• Inspect and insert product at various positions along the line and discard poor product.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Follow plant safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Observe products moving quickly on a conveyor system for up to 3 1/2 hours at one time.
