Job summary

GAF is seeking a Production Manager to lead the Tuscaloosa asphaltic roofing shingle production network. The role centers on building a high‑performing, safe, and engaged staff, applying continuous improvement to boost efficiency and reliability across the plant.

You will partner with EHS and cross‑functional teams to meet safety, quality, and production targets, drive cost efficiencies, mentor talent, and ensure adherence to collective bargaining terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in a safety sensitive environment or HS Diploma with 6+ years in a safety sensitive environment with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• 2+ years of people leadership and team building experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a production staff to ensure safety and reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean principles, 5S, kaizen, and data-driven initiatives.
• Establish objectives aligned with company goals and develop talent within the team.
• Ensure safety, production, and quality standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
