Job summary

GAF is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the maintenance and production teams in Tampa, FL. You will drive safety, reliability, and performance while partnering with the leadership team to meet annual and long-term objectives.

The role requires strong change leadership, hands-on kaizen/lean experience, and the ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and cross-functional initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5+ years of people leadership and team building experience.
• Experience managing production/maintenance in high-volume manufacturing.
• 2+ years management in a represented environment.
• Experience leading supply chain or logistics.
• Ability to lead and influence people; strong teamwork.
• Willingness to embrace change and champion change.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop maintenance and production staff; ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Partner with EHS to ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA standards.
• Drive continuous improvement via 5S, lean, kaizen initiatives.
• Set objectives, provide resources, and motivate staff to embrace change.
• Analyze KPIs and drive data-backed decisions for improvements.
• Manage budgets, costs, and capital projects for the site.
