Job summary

GAF, a leading roofing manufacturer in North America, seeks a Production Operator to safely control and oversee various machines and equipment involved in production, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Under the direction of the Supervisor or Leadman, you will monitor processing lines, document batch records, maintain logs, perform routine tests, troubleshoot equipment, operate a forklift, and uphold health and safety standards as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality and consistency in production processes by assessing, modifying equipment.
• Ensures efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying production processes and/or equipment.
• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products.
• Gathers and arranges materials.
• Drafts and maintains production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
