Job summary

SolvChem, Inc., a chemical blending, packaging, and distribution company, is seeking a hands-on Production Manager in Pearland, TX. You will lead daily operations, guide Line Leads, and drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating with Planning, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Logistics to optimize OEE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent operational experience.
• 3–5 years in a high-volume manufacturing environment with supervisory experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Chemical industry experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) and OSHA certifications are strongly preferred.
• Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, routings, or process documentation.
• Experience with ERP, MES, or related manufacturing business systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to meet schedules safely and efficiently.
• Supervise Line Leads and ensure procedures are followed.
• Own the execution of production changeovers and coordinate materials, equipment, and personnel.
• Monitor run rates and adjust to prevent bottlenecks and delays.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize downtime and address equipment issues.
• Collaborate with Planning to support efficient production schedules and material readiness.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure raw materials are available prior to production.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Work with Process Engineer to implement process improvements and safety initiatives.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
