PEG Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Plant Manager for a growing manufacturing facility in the Houston area. This hands-on leader will drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement while developing a bilingual production team.

The role emphasizes Lean initiatives, scheduling, KPI management, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet delivery commitments and optimize plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing/industrial operations.
• Hands-on leadership style with focus on developing people and teams.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Gemba walks, root cause analysis, and 8D problem-solving.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, KPIs, quality systems, and cost management.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety programs and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and production reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day plant operations focusing on safety, quality, production performance, and customer delivery.
• Coach and mentor a bilingual production team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage production schedules, prioritize work orders, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze results, and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Lead Lean initiatives including daily management, root cause analysis, and 8D activities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to resolve production issues and improve workflow.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, ISO 9001 standards, and safety policies.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support training and growth.
