Job summary

Synthomer plc seeks a Production Manager to lead daily production operations at the Chester, SC site, driving continuous improvement while ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery. You will manage both salaried and hourly teams and partner with technology and commercial groups to optimize processes.

The role requires a strong background in chemical plant manufacturing, Lean/Six Sigma experience, and the ability to collaborate across functions to achieve strategic plant goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Polymer Science or related field.
• 8+ years in chemical plant manufacturing, monomer/reactive chemistry preferred.
• 3+ years in a supervisory role directing teams.
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Waste Reduction and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production activities and continuous improvement program.
• Promote SHE compliance and safe, cost-effective operations.
• Lead, motivate and develop salaried and hourly staff; manage direct/indirect reports.
• Align manufacturing plans with plant and business goals; ensure on-time delivery.
