Job summary

Smithfield Foods in North Carolina is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead frontline operations, tracking yields and making real-time adjustments to keep processes safe and compliant with USDA standards. You will guide and coach production staff, ensuring targets are met with high quality while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring staff.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, for problem-solving.
• Motivating, coaching teams to peak performance in a positive environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% and work in fast-paced conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead hourly production employees to meet safety, quality and production goals.
• Oversee daily inspections, safety audits and USDA/HACCP compliance.
• Train and coach staff, conduct monthly line meetings, monitor yields and efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment setup, maintenance and workflow optimizations to reduce downtime.
• Communicate clearly across all levels to align daily objectives and results.
