Job summary

Johnson Controls in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Production Lead to guide a manufacturing team in safety, quality and productivity. You will monitor metrics, coordinate daily tasks, and collaborate across departments to meet customer demands.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus supervisory experience and strong communication. You will coach staff, drive continuous improvement, and adapt to overtime or shift changes as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED.
• Some training and/or supervisory experience desired.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to lead change in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Champion a Safety Culture using JCI tools and best practices and participation in JCI programs and committees empower employees to take responsibility for their own safety as well as the safety of others.
• Drive Improvements to Metrics. Monitors departmental activities to meet Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, Customer Service, Production Cost, and Inventory Management goals.
• Determine daily work assignments to meet customer requirements and adjust priorities to respond to customer needs.
• Continuous Improvement. Develop unique solutions to problems and perform root cause analysis with engineering.
• Coach and build teamwork on the floor, maintaining morale and ensuring goals are met.
• Flexibility to work overtime and/or move between shifts for training and coverage purposes.
• Use MS Office and ERP systems to look up production orders and manage inventory.
