Job summary

Champion Foods LLC is seeking a working lead to assist the supervisor in overseeing the production workforce, guiding operations, quality initiatives, and food safety. The role may lead up to 25 colleagues and provide expertise in production equipment.

You will mentor others and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has leadership experience in manufacturing, strong GMP/HACCP knowledge, and proficient communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, operations, packaging, or distribution.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA/USDA/OSHA requirements.
• Ability to mentor and train others.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor with monitoring line performance and implement improvements to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Create schedules and direct workflow of lines and production colleagues.
• Ensure safety and food safety procedures are followed during production.
• Train new production colleagues and ensure understanding of machine functions and safety standards.
• Report to management on compliance and improvement opportunities.
• Lead team meetings and support performance development and HR processes.
