Job summary

Champion Foods LLC is seeking a working lead to assist the supervisor in overseeing production workforce and to maximize yields. You will provide direction on operations, food safety, quality initiatives, and equipment, and may mentor up to 8 associates.

The role requires experience in GMP/HACCP environments, strong communication, and the ability to train colleagues on equipment use and safety practices while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, FDA, USDA, OSHA requirements.
• Able to mentor and train others.
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word/Excel).
• Familiar with Inkling, Oracle or similar platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in monitoring material handling metrics and improvements.
• Create production line schedules and direct workflow for lines and associates.
• Ensure safety and food safety compliance during material handling.
• Train new material handling staff on powered industrial vehicles and equipment usage.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and document any issues with recommended corrections.
• Collaborate with HR on performance management and policy compliance.
