Job summary

District Photo Inc. is seeking a dependable Production Lead for our Books Department who can guide daily production, monitor quality and workflow, and keep orders moving safely and efficiently.

You'll provide on-floor leadership, coach teammates, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Supervisors and Maintenance to resolve problems while maintaining a high standard of product quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing/production experience required or preferred.
• Lead or supervisory experience is a plus, but potential considered.
• Comfortable around production machinery and equipment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize work and keep a team focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to be hands-on and work alongside the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to employees in the Books production area.
• Help organize staffing and workflow to meet daily production goals.
• Monitor production, quality and productivity throughout the shift.
• Ensure employees follow procedures, safety requirements and quality standards.
• Help train, coach and support new and existing team members.
• Operate production equipment and learn multiple processes within the department.
• Identify production problems and coordinate with Supervisors, Maintenance and other departments to resolve them quickly.
• Prioritize and expedite orders based on production needs.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and workflow adjustments.
• Communicate shift priorities and results to supervisors and leaders.
• Promote teamwork, attendance and a positive work environment.
• Lead by example during peak production periods.
