Job summary

Marmon Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Production Lead for the second shift to coordinate workflow, assist teammates, promote safety and quality, and serve as the primary contact for shift issues. This hands-on role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will operate and troubleshoot equipment, monitor schedules, support bottleneck operations, train new staff, and document production results while upholding company policies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have prior manufacturing experience.
• Leadership or lead experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of production processes and safety practices.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support to second-shift production employees.
• Assign tasks and monitor workflow to meet production goals.
• Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job support.
• Address employee concerns and escalate issues as needed.
• Monitor attendance and adherence to policies.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.
• Operate manufacturing equipment as needed.
• Fill in for absent employees and support bottleneck operations.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities as directed.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues.
• Maintain production records and communicate shift updates.
• Support enforcement of safety rules and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety observations and report unsafe conditions.
• Ensure products meet quality standards.
• Document production, quality, or safety concerns.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a point of contact for second-shift operational issues.
• Communicate production performance and staffing concerns to management.
• Participate in meetings and provide shift updates.

The Production Lead is responsible for supporting second shift production operations by coordinating workflow, assisting employees, promoting safety and quality, and serving as a primary point of contact for shift level issues. This is a hands on role that may require active participation in daily production activities while providing leadership and guidance to the team. Duties may vary based on business needs.

Leadership & Support

• Provide direction and support to second‑shift production employees.


• Assign tasks and monitor workflow to help meet production goals.


• Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.


• Provide basic coaching, guidance, and on‑the‑job support.


• Address employee concerns and elevate issues to management as appropriate.

Education and Experience

• Prior manufacturing experience required.


• Previous leadership or lead experience preferred.


• Strong understanding of production processes and safety practices.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to operate production equipment.


• Basic troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.


• Ability to lead by example in a hands‑on environment.


• Ability to read and write clearly.

• Must be able to multi‑task, follow priorities given, and have strong troubleshooting techniques.


• Self‑starter; ability to work with minimal supervision.


• Strong housekeeping practices and organizational skills desired.

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.


• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.


• Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.


• Ability to work long hours while standing and operating machinery.


• Ability to move objects and materials of at least 50 lbs.
