Job summary

Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure is hiring for an assembly/operator role. You will assemble mechanical units and sub-assemblies, use various hand and power tools, and read simple blueprints to meet tolerances. Daily tasks include ensuring quality and performing routine maintenance on equipment.

Candidate should have 3-5 years of experience, work under broad supervision, and be capable of producing consistent results in a repetitive assembly environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly.
• Ability to read simple blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Maintenance and cleaning of equipment are part of daily tasks.
• Ability to detect and correct minor machine malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Assembles mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete products within routine and repetitive assembly operations.
• Uses various hand and power tools and operates equipment which may include jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears, and drill presses in order to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form, and/or assemble.
• Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements.
• Monitors quality of products and raw materials.
• May read simple blueprints.
• Performs simple routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Determines and corrects minor machine malfunctions.
• Typically has 3-5 years of experience and works under broad supervision.
• Typical job titles include: Press Operator, Machine Operator, Maker/Packer.
