Job summary

G&W Electric in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Production Inspector to inspect components and finished products for conformance to production controls and ISO standards. You will perform final inspections on switches and part orders, and train production personnel in effective methods to control processes.

You will prepare NCRs, write CIIs for repetitive problems, and report ISO violations to the Cell Leader. You will collaborate with product and manufacturing engineers to implement process

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring and ladder diagrams.
• Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
• ERP system experience.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers and a Fluke multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components and finished products for conformance to ISO standards.
• Perform final inspections on switches and part orders prior to shipping.
• Prepare NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and CIIs (Customer Improvement Initiatives) for recurring issues.
• Document actions on production and quality forms; coordinate with engineering teams for corrective actions.
• Train production personnel in effective process-control methods.
