Job summary

Field of Talent is seeking a Tier II Specialist to monitor enterprise infrastructure, respond to production incidents, and perform scheduled maintenance across servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and backup systems.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with 2–5 years in enterprise IT and experience supporting Windows Server, Linux, and VMware environments. Onsite in Terre Haute, IN, with 24x7 responsibilities.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
2-5 years of enterprise infrastructure experience.
Experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, networking, and backup tools.

Responsibilities

Monitor enterprise servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and backup environments.
Respond to infrastructure alerts, troubleshoot production issues, and restore services.
Execute OS, VMware, and infrastructure patching during maintenance.
Monitor backup and replication jobs, investigate failures, and perform authorized restores.
Perform health checks after maintenance to verify production availability.
Monitor Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, storage, and network infrastructure.
Escalate critical incidents following procedures and coordinate with engineering/vendors.
Maintain documentation, incident tickets, and shift turnover reports.
