Job summary

Rivian in Normal, IL is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to optimize production efficiency in a high-volume automotive environment. You will plan workstation utilization, equipment and staffing to improve daily output for electric vehicle manufacturing.

Responsibilities include coordinating engineering changes, launching new programs, creating work instructions, and collaborating with design engineers to ensure high production quality through PDCA.

Qualifications

• Experience with CATIA/ENOVIA
• Knowledge of DOE, GD&T, Torque tooling, error proofing, PFMEA
• Six Sigma (DMAIC) exposure or certification preferred
• Lean assembly principles and MTM/MODAPTS time studies
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering changes and drive continuous process improvement
• Track and launch new programs in assigned areas
• Develop work instructions, process flow, and documentation
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize high-production layouts
• Participate in product and packaging reviews to assess impact
• Perform time studies to estimate production times and staffing needs
• Investigate issues and implement solutions during New Product Launch cycles
• Plan optimal plant layout and equipment for maximum efficiency
