Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to support production and operations of New Glenn’s payload deployment systems. You will lead mechanical release assemblies, execute system tests, and ensure hardware meets acceptance criteria through close collaboration with design and test teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on build support, nonconformance disposition, and production sustainment in a high-velocity aerospace environment, contributing to safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in engineering and 5+ years in aerospace structures or mechanisms.
  • Experience with mechanical mechanism assembly, integration, and test.
  • Experience with flight hardware production support and nonconformance disposition.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production engineering support for mechanical release and separation assemblies.
  • Execute and support integrated system-level testing of separation mechanisms.
  • Disposition hardware nonconformances and support MRB activities.
  • Support hardware builds including mechanism assembly, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Develop and maintain production procedures, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate with design teams on production issues and design changes.
