Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Sr. Production Engineer to join their team in California. This role involves designing various aerospace systems and supporting the development of the New Glenn launch vehicle. The successful candidate will apply engineering techniques and has a strong background in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in production support engineering and be proficient in 3D CAD tools such as Creo and ANSYS. The role requires a U.S. citizenship or legal residency.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of recent experience designing aerospace or equivalent type mechanical system elements.
• Experience in Production Support Engineering.
• Confirmed understanding of materials and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and test various spaceflight systems.
• Research and analyze customer design proposals and specifications.
• Investigate equipment failures and make recommendations.

Skills

3D CAD programs (Creo preferred)

Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS preferred)

Mechanical design and integration skills

GD&T (ASME Y14.5)

Knowledge of fabrication and quality control

Ability to work independently

Education

B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
