Applicants should have a BS in a related field and 3–5 years of manufacturing experience; strong leadership and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years demonstrated ability in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of production equipment for purchase, installation, and repair.
• Leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and information technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety/quality standards and regulations.
• Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and data to provide management with reports.
• Able to apply Lean / TOC production principles in the manufacturing environment.
• Work with all levels of the organization to identify and implement process improvements.
• Work closely with maintenance to ensure maintainability of new installations with predictive and preventive programs.
• Ensure workplace safety with emphasis on operator ergonomics.
• Improve labor productivity/efficiency through cross-functional collaboration.
• Improve workstation layout, workflow, and assembly methods.
• Support NPD teams with DFM direction.
• Support Product/Process validation and verification.
• Perform engineering changes/product improvements to sustain current production.
• Write, update, and approve production processes and procedures.
