Collaborate with production teams to enhance safety, quality and delivery while applying Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S to reduce waste and raise efficiency. CAD and tooling experience are highly valued.

You will justify capital equipment purchases and mentor operators, focusing on world-class manufacturing standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years’ engineering experience in steel tooling or stamping preferred.
• Knowledge of CAD, Die Design, Die Sensing and related processes.
• Error Proofing and Value Stream Mapping skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Researches and designs improvements to processes, layouts, flow, and equipment.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental policies; analyzes and installs equipment.
• Utilizes statistical techniques (LEAN/Six Sigma/TPS) to evaluate and improve processes.
• Collaborates with production personnel to improve safety, quality and delivery.
• Works with Program Management to meet new program launch objectives.
• Measures process efficiency and reports scrap, downtime, uptime, TAKT time, and cycle times.
• Keeps knowledge of manufacturing methods up-to-date and shares with the team.
• Assists with assembly and installation of tooling/equipment.
• Justifies capital equipment purchases.
• Understands quality objectives and system procedures.
