Job summary

Nordex North America is seeking a Production Engineer to support wind turbine manufacturing and improve production processes. You will join the Production team, report to the Production Manager, and help develop and implement new processes across the department while ensuring efficient planning and monitoring of the production schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering required.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing, wind or heavy equipment industries.
• Experience with process improvement and KPI monitoring.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally with passport.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production area requirements and ensure availability of tools and resources.
• Monitor, analyze and report production KPIs to identify gaps.
• Drive continuous improvement with CAPA to improve safety, cost and delivery.
• Provide technical support to production teams and foster a safe, high‑performance environment.
• Lead cross‑functional production projects to improve efficiency and cycle time.
• Assist in layout optimization and coordination with IE, HSE, QA, and Supply Chain.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections and maintain safety compliance.
• Read and interpret schematics and assembly instructions for operations.
• Travel to project sites as needed and support shift‑based production environments.
