Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
• Advanced experience in engineering, production engineering, manufacturing, technical procurement, supply chain engineering, or closely related work.
• Advanced experience preparing technical procurement documents including Statements of Work, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and technical justifications.
• Advanced experience reviewing engineering drawings for manufacturability and procurement readiness.
• Experience with supplier management and acquisition of complex hardware or services.

Responsibilities

• Function independently with significant responsibility, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources to guide project completion.
• Set technical strategies for hardware, equipment, materials, and services supporting production activities.
• Provide engineering sourcing solutions and coordinate between program teams, procurement, and suppliers.
• Maintain schedules, milestones, budgets, and action items for complex procurements.
• Review drawings and documentation for manufacturability and procurement readiness; advise on fabrication approaches.
• Produce procurement packages including SOWs, specifications, and cost estimates for prototyping and sustainment.
• Analyze supplier proposals and participate in vendor selection and strategy development.
• Ensure timely completion of procurements by coordinating with LLNL Procurement and suppliers.
• Address safety, export control, IP, legal, configuration management, quality, and logistics in acquisitions.
