Job Description

Tech/Electronics company located in Plainview NY is looking for a Production Engineer to join their team.

Full benefits including 26 days off in the first year and bonus.

As a Production Engineer, you will assist with the engineering and quality agenda, with the overall goal of improving customer satisfaction. You will be the main contact with suppliers and work as part of the business team to develop and secure the production process, handle quality deviations, and ensure compliance with all company requirements.

About the assignment:

The Production Engineer is responsible for Quality Assurance, including securing process control for key production processes. Your responsibilities include:

1. Developing new manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Investigating and analyzing problems to derive solutions in the manufacturing process.
3. Transferring R&D prototypes into series production and documenting manufacturing processes.
4. Performing and creating First Article Inspection Documents.
5. Conducting product audits and production risk assessments at suppliers.
6. Developing recipes with suppliers to match desired taste profile, quality, and nutrition.
7. Leading supplier development for quality and manufacturing, including identifying and implementing actions and executing SDP projects.
8. Leading industrialization of minor new developments and contributing expertise to other new developments.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Total Quality Management.
• University degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Process or Production Engineer in manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial production conditions and Lean manufacturing.
