A leading company in the fashion industry is seeking a full-time Production Coordinator. The ideal candidate will handle communication with suppliers, monitor production processes, and maintain tracking records. This entry-level role requires a bachelor's degree and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, coupled with strong organizational and communication skills.
About This Opportunity:
The Production Coordinator is a full-time position that plays an important role to ensure fabric mills, trim suppliers, and garment factories have all the raw material approvals they need to start production on time. This role will also monitor all work-in-progress and maintain detailed tracking records to keep all Garan supply chain teams informed.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Daily emails/phone call communication with overseas Garan offices and suppliers/factories
· Follow up with suppliers on labels, strike-offs, trims, brand aesthetic/CTL/compliance testing sample submittals
· Follow up with internal compliance team to ensure timely completion of in-house, CPSC, CTL testing
· Collect UPC details, tech packs, and pertinent costing info from other departments. Review to ensure the accuracy of all before distributing to suppliers.
· Constantly update style tracker with package tracking #’s, approval & rejection comments
· Organize and maintain trim and sample libraries
· Create scannable UPC label detail sheet & review proofs prior to production commencement
· Prepare LC (line of credit) applications and review LC discrepancy reports
· Create CPSC requirement charts
· Set up inspection files for oversea QC and compliance teams
· Weekly meeting with production manager to report any issues (quality concerns, sampling issues, raw material and/or garment delays)
Qualifications:
· Entry Level to 2 years work experience in fashion, apparel, or manufacturing industry
· Bachelor’s degree in related field
· Must be detail-oriented, organized & able to multitask
· Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, etc.)
· Strong writing & communication skills
· Knowledge in Simparel & PLM is a plus
