Job summary

Philabundance is seeking a Production Cook I to prepare meals for programs in a fast-paced kitchen. You will label, stock, and prepare ingredients per recipes, while ensuring food safety standards and high-quality presentation.

You will support trainees in the job training program and assist with inventory and catering needs, working to meet deadlines and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required/preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred; certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
• Ability to speak multiple languages a plus; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Label and stock ingredients accurately.
• Prepare food per recipe; wash, chop, and sort ingredients.
• Meet Philabundance standards for meal appearance and timely production.
• Lead and mentor trainees in the job training program.
• Assist in inventory tracking and catering support.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and follow Safe Food handling standards.
