Pennsylvania College of Technology is seeking an Assistant Cook to support meal preparation and service in a campus dining facility. You will assist with food production, ensure compliance with recipes and safety standards, and help maintain a clean, efficient kitchen.

The role requires 2 years of institutional food prep experience (or 1 year + 1 year training), ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years' institutional food prep experience or 1 year plus 1 year of training preferred.
• Experience coordinating food production activities preferred.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic math; follow verbal/written instructions.

Aufgaben

• Follow menu cycle; consider food costs and identify savings.
• Prepare/serve daily menus and events; ensure quality and safety; monitor staff.
• Inspect service lines; report quality or safety concerns.
• In Head Cook's absence, perform Head Cook duties incl. Children’s Learning Center and special dietary requests.
• Assist with opening/closing kitchen duties and general sanitation.
