Qualifications

Position Summary

Ensemble Arts Philadelphia is looking for a talented Production Cook. The Production Cook will be a part of the Culinary Kitchen Team and will assist with all kitchen prep.

This role offers an hourly rate of $16.00-$19.00.

This position will remain open until August 1, 2025.

Responsibilities
  1. Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ensuring proper inventory control.
  2. Communicate effectively and take direction from supervisors.
  3. Work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment.
  4. Possess excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking.
  5. Work independently, resourcefully, and proactively solve issues.
  6. Follow Health Department food safety and sanitation standards.
  7. Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff according to recipes, ensuring food quality and timely service.
  8. Maintain high communication standards, understand call-back procedures for menu items, and keep dialogue relevant to service.
  9. Report to and follow instructions from the Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or other leadership.
  10. Clean and break down station at the end of service, meeting all food handling and storage standards.
  11. Ensure kitchen operations and hygiene meet food safety regulations.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers, leadership, and vendors.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience as a catering/restaurant prep cook or in a high-end, high-volume, fast-paced kitchen (or comparable).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner under pressure.
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in all cooking aspects.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively solve issues.
  • Assist team with events as needed.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
