Job Opportunity: Production Cook at Ensemble Arts Philadelphia

Ensemble Arts Philadelphia is seeking a talented Production Cook to join our Culinary Kitchen Team. The role involves assisting with all kitchen preparations and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Position Details:

  • Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $19.00
  • Benefits for Full-Time Roles include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan with matching, and paid time off (vacation, sick days, holidays).
  • Application deadline: August 1, 2025
Responsibilities:
  1. Set up and stock station with necessary supplies, maintaining inventory control.
  2. Communicate effectively with team and follow directions from supervisors.
  3. Work efficiently in a clean, organized manner in a high-pressure environment.
  4. Show excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking.
  5. Work independently and proactively solve issues.
  6. Adhere to health department food safety and sanitation standards.
  7. Prepare menu items according to recipes, ensuring quality and timely service.
  8. Maintain clear communication with team during service.
  9. Follow instructions from Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or leadership.
  10. Clean and break down station at end of shift, following safety standards.
  11. Ensure kitchen operations meet hygiene and safety regulations.
  12. Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers, leadership, and vendors.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a prep cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen, preferably in catering or restaurant settings.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner under pressure.
  • Excellent knife skills and cooking proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
